From viral infections to upper respiratory infections, we're tacking What's Going Around in central Virginia.

Dr. Brooke Bostic of Greene Family Medicine says upper respiratory infections are going around there. Symptoms often start off with a seasonal allergy feeling and also include sore throat, sinus and chest congestion, hoarseness, cough and possible fever.

When it comes to treatment, Dr. Bostic recommends Tylenol, decongestants, zinc, fluids and rest.
You should also see your doctor if you're not feeling better in 10 days.

In Buckingham, Nurse Practitioner Cindy Napier says she's seeing more patients with viral illness. Symptoms include nausea, fever, vomiting and body aches.

Napier recommends clear liquids Tylenol, ibuprofen and rest for treatment.
