University of Virginia nurses spent the day putting together hundreds of care kits for teens across the region.
It's part of their annual community service project. The kits include shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, and other hygiene products.
The nurses will assemble the kits, and give them out to groups like "Shelter for Help in Emergency" and "Region 10."
"This is our opportunity as nurses to let the teens in our community know that we care, and that we realize they are a very important part of our future," says Emily Crim-Wells, a nurse.
This is the first year nurses have put together care packages specifically for teens.
