Students at the University of Virginia attend a flu clinic Thursday to get their swine flu vaccines.
University health officials gave the vaccine to students 24-years-old and younger.
Those in high-risk categories for chronic illness also attended. Students didn't have to sign up in advance, but they did have to pay $20 for the shot.
Organizers say the vaccines are important for the health of the community.
"They are doing it to protect their community, their friends, and their loved ones, who they can give the virus to," says Dr. James Turner, the UVa Director of Student Health.
UVa plans to hold another clinic before Thanksgiving and in the beginning of December.
