Virginia health officials say the H1N1 vaccine should soon be available to anyone who wishes to receive a dose.
Karen Remley with the Virginia Health Department said the pool of those eligible can now expand beyond only targeted immunizations.
Initially, because of a vaccine shortage, only those in high risk categories were eligible. But now, Remley says the vaccine will soon be available to all.
She estimates that Virginia has received approximately two million doses to date. Remley says it's still recommended that anyone ranging in from age 18 to 24 or adults with chronic illnesses receive the vaccinations.
The new supply should be received within the next couple of days.
