Charlottesville's business community came together at the Boars Head Inn Wednesday to hand out a prestigious award.
University of Virginia President John Casteen won the Paul Goodloe McIntire Citizenship Award from the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
In his keynote address, President Casteen talked about the bond between Charlottesville's academic and business community.
He added, he wants to see that relationship grow in areas including environmental science and technology.
Chamber members said choosing Casteen to speak was an easy decision.
Casteen is in his 20th and final year as President of the University of Virginia.
