The Newsplex confirmed Michelle Obama will make a campaign stop in Charlottesville on Friday, July 20. Specific details of the visit have not been made public.

It's not the first time Michelle Obama has been in Charlottesville. She was here in January of 2012 for a fundraiser at the home of Dave Matthews Band drummer Carter Beauford. In August of 2010, the First Lady paid a visit to Monticello. She also made a campaign stop at the University of Virginia with Jill Biden in September of 2008.

The visit from the First Lady is set for one week after President Barack Obama made a series of campaign stops in Virginia. Obama won Virginia by several points in 2008. It was the first time a Democrat carried the state in decades.
