TIFFIN, Ohio (AP) - Police say a mobile home fire has killed five children and an adult in northwest Ohio.
Tiffin police say in a news release that the fire was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday in a mobile home park. Police say part of the home was engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
Firefighters pulled a man and five small children from the home in the city southeast of Toledo. They were pronounced dead at the hospital.
The manager of Highland Park Estates mobile home park, Nancy Williams, says she ran to the home when a neighbor alerted her to the blaze. Williams says neighbors couldn't get past the flames and smoke to help.
Police haven't released the victims' identities. Williams says a man and his girlfriend lived there with their son and the girlfriend's four daughters.
