Americans For Prosperity Bus Visits Albemarle County

September 9, 2010

The Americans For Prosperity bus made a stop in Charlottesville Thursday to campaign against 5th District Congressman Tom Perriello (D), who faces challenger Robert Hurt (R) in his bid for re-election.

The conservative group parked outside the Albemarle County Office Building Thursday, aiming to put pressure on Congressman Perriello and Rick Boucher, a Democratic Congressman from Virginia's 9th District.

Americans For Prosperity members asked local residents to sign a petition for their respective congressmen, urging them to oppose big government programs.

After spending part of the day in Charlottesville, the Americans For Prosperity bus made several other stops in the central Virginia area, including Lynchburg and Danville.
