Former Gov. Allen Joins Robert Hurt on the Campaign Trail

September 28, 2010

Robert Hurt made campaign stops in Nelson County, Albemarle County, and Charlottesville on Wednesday. He was joined by former Governor George Allen on the campaign trail.

Hurt made appearances in Piney River, Virginia and Crozet, before stopping at the Hurt For U.S. Congress Charlottesville Campaign Headquarters in Charlottesville.

Former Governor Allen told potential voters that the Jefferson District is the best place to make a comeback, because people there believe in free enterprise. The former Governor added, "coming back to the Charlottesville area is like a reunion all my memories, family, personal and political. Robert and I think so much alike and it's just really fun to campaign/work with him."

Allen plans to speak at the Albemarle Republican Breakfast, Saturday morning at the Doubletree Hotel.
