Obama Takes Georgia

February 5, 2008

Shortly after the polls closed, the Associated Press called the Democratic Primary ini Georgia for Barack Obama.

This is Obama's second straight Southern victory. Like his win in Southa Carolina, Obama benefited from a large number of Black voters.

The Associated Press made its call based on surveys of voters as
they left the polls.

The 87 delegates at stake in Georgia's primary were divided
between the two candidates in rough proportion to the votes.
