Voters Reminded To Be Aware Of Student Safety During Primary

February 11, 2008

Virginia's presidential primary elections will be held tomorrow but unlike the regular election, school will still be in session that day.

Albemarle County voters who vote at a county elementary, middle, or high school will vote at their normal polling places, i.e., at the schools, but at some schools voters will vote in a different room at the school than in prior elections.

Albemarle County says voters should be alert for signs posted at the schools directing voters to the voting rooms, and should be aware as they are driving and parking at the school locations that students are in attendance and may be outside in or around parking areas.

Also, voters are reminded that parking may be limited at the schools depending on the time of day, so some additional time may be required for voting. Anyone with any questions should call the Voter Registration
