Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has finally and officially
been declared the winner in New Mexico.
Thursday dozens of volunteers completed counting the more than
8,000 provisional ballots from the Super Tuesday presidential caucus.
Party Chairman Brian Colrn made the announcement Thursday in Albuquerque.
Clinton beat rival Senator Barack Obama by 1,709 votes. This means that Clinton gets 14 New Mexico delegates while the other 12 delegates go to Obama.
The count was split based on the results in each of the state's three
congressional districts, along with statewide results.
