Bill and Chelsea Stump For Hillary In Indiana

March 24, 2008

Former President Bill Clinton is hoping Hoosiers will choose his wife to be the next president. Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea had several campaign events scheduled Monday in Indiana.

Mr. Clinton's first stop was in South Bend, at a Dyngus Day celebration.
Dyngus Day is a Polish holiday that celebrates the end of Lent and the arrival of spring. South Bend's tradition includes politicians meeting and greeting residents, and lots of food and beverages.

Clinton told a large crowd of supporters that Hillary Rodham Clinton is the best candidate to become Commander-in-Chief. He touted her ideas for health care reform and her plans to jump-start the economy using alternative energy.

Chelsea spoke briefly at the event. She also has appearances scheduled Monday night at Indiana University and Tuesday morning at Ball State University.

Indiana has 72 delegates in the upcoming democratic primary on May 6th.
