McCain Visits Virginia

April 2, 2008

Senator John McCain is working on his list of possible VP candidates. McCain said Wednesday morning he hopes to announce his choice before the Republican convention in early September.

Meanwhile Tuesday McCain talked about people who influenced him growing up.
McCain visited his Virginia High School alma mater in Alexandria to reminisce about a teacher who inspired him.

"Every child should be blessed with a teacher like I had, and to learn at institutions with high academic standards and codes of conduct that reinforce the values their parents try to impart to them. Many students do have that opportunity. But too many do not," said McCain.

McCain talked about one teacher who made a difference in his life and said there are many Americans who can benefit children in the same way.
