Obama and McCain Campaign

June 12, 2008

Both presidential candidates agree about at least one issue: what to do with Guantanamo Bay.

John McCain and Barack Obama say they want the prison closed.

On Thursday, the likely Republican nominee and former prisoner of war, John McCain reacted to the Supreme Court ruling. He says even though he supports shutting the place down, the decision should not give the detainees leniency.

Obama talked economic issues with voters in Wisconsin on Thursday.

In his speech, the presumptive Democratic nominee took aim at John McCain over his tax cut plans.

Obama says McCain wants to cut taxes for families making more than two million dollars a year.

Obama kicked off a two-week campaign tour focused on economic issues on Monday in North Carolina.
