Virginia's Republican convention began on Friday, May 17 to chose the party's candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General.
Current Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is running unopposed for the nomination for Governor.
Delegate Rob Bell form Charlottesville and State Senator Mark Obenshain from Harrisonburg are running for Attorney General. Political experts say there is no clear front runner in that race.
There are seven candidates for Lt Governor, so there will likely be three ballots to decide the nominee.
Candidates for each position should be selected by Saturday, May 18.
THERE ARE *SEVEN* CANDIDATES FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR...
SO IT WILL LIKELY TAKE THREE BALLOTS, TO DECIDE A NOMINEE.
