Ralph Nader Rallies in Charlottesville

July 9, 2008

Ralph Nader will bring his Independent "Shift the Power" presidential campaign to Charlottesville on Sunday, July 13.

The Presidential candidate for the Independent Green Party will be holding a 1:30 p.m. news conference and a 2 p.m. Nader/Gonzalez campaign rally. Both events will be held at the Gravity Lounge on the Downtown Mall

Some of Nader's key issues concerning Virginia include the lack of a comprehensive statewide transportation plan, the polluting of rivers, the loss of jobs to NAFTA, off-shoring jobs by multinational corporations, and effects of the Iraq War on military families.

The Nader/Gonzalez Campaign also says they support a living wage, and "Canadian-style" public health insurance system for all.
