John McCain and Barack Obama Agree on a Need to Change Washington

July 17, 2008

John McCain spoke at the 99th annual NAACP convention in Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Senator McCain touched on a number of topics including the economy, which he says higher taxes will only worsen.

The Arizona senator also believes a complete overhaul in Washington is necessary.

The latest national Real Clear Politics poll shows Senator McCain trailing his democratic opponent, Barack Obama, slightly.

Meanwhile, Senator Obama spoke Wednesday about the biggest dangers facing Americans in the 21st century.

Indiana senator Evan Bayh was among several panelists at the roundtable discussion at Purdue University.

Obama explained how he'd update national security and stay one step ahead of the terrorists.

Obama also criticized President Bush and Senator John McCain for looking at the past and invading Iraq.
