(AP) - It seems reports of Sarah Palin's trip to Virginia Beach next week were exaggerated. Or at least premature.
John McCain's campaign said Wednesday she won't make the Sept.
18 trip that Attorney General Bob McDonnell announced in a Sept. 4 press conference call.
Rarely are presidential campaign appearances made public two weeks in advance.
McDonnell and former Sen. George Allen made the call amid the euphoria of the closing day of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Campaign spokeswoman Gail Gitcho says Palin's trip to Virginia
Beach has not yet been rescheduled.
