McCain Rallies Blue Collar Workers in Florida Thursday

October 23, 2008

"Obama just added a work requirement because people learned the truth about his tax plan and they didn’t like it...another example that he’ll say anything to get elected" McCain said.

He also said Joe Biden gave some “accidental straight talk” by saying Obama would be tested if he was elected president.

"Yesterday, Obama tried to explain it away by saying his running mate engages in rhetorical flourishes...that’s another way of saying he accidentally delivered some straight talk to America."

The lumberyard where the event was held had roughly 1000 people in it, but there were hundreds more lined up outside. Gov. Charlie Crist and Sen. Mel Martinez accompanied McCain, as well as two small business owners.

"After months of campaign trail eloquence, we've finally learned what Senator Obama's economic goal is. As he told Joe the plumber in Ohio, he wants to quote "spread the wealth around," said McCain during the rally.
