For Campaign Volunteers--All the Hard Work Comes Down to Election Day

November 4, 2008

For campaign volunteers all their hard work comes down to Election Day.

Many volunteers say they can't believe it's finally here, and they're still busy canvassing, making last minute campaign calls, offering free rides, and babysitting at the polls.

Some campaign volunteers took days, weeks, and even months off from work to rally support for their candidate.

"It's been really great. I feel like we're defenitley a part of making history here," said Mark Barnes, a Young Republican.

"They have stepped up to do anything that they can do," said Bunny Sheppard, an Obama volunteer.

Local Republicans are meeeting to celebrate their hard work at Rivals in Albemarle County. Democrats are meeting at Gravity Lounge on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall.
