(AP) - For someone who says he's not officially running for governor, Democrat Terry McAuliffe is surrounding himself with big-name advisers.
McAuliffe, who filed papers Monday necessary to run for governor in 2009, secured the services of strategist Mike Henry.
Spokesman Mo Elleithee said Henry is in an unpaid advisory capacity for now. Henry managed the victorious campaigns of Mark Warner for Senate this year and Tim Kaine for governor in 2005. He held a senior slot with Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign until February.
Jenny Nadicksbernd joins McAuliffe as a fundraiser. She has been a fundraiser for Warner and Kaine.
McAuliffe plans to announce his intentions on Jan. 7.
