High ranking Democrats and the White House have their sights set on Congressman Eric Cantor. They've apparently singled him out when criticizing Republicans in Congress.
The House Minority Whip has been outspoken about his criticism of the stimulus plan as well as other White House agendas. Democrats say that Cantor represents the party of 'No" and has no solutions.
The University of Virginia Center for Politics says the focus on Cantor has surfaced because of the media increasingly spotlighting him.
"They're targeting Eric Cantor because Eric Cantor has really become the face of the House Republican caucus," remarks Cordel Faulk, of UVA's Center for Politics. "The minority leader has decided to let Eric step out and to lead the media charge."
Cantor represents the seventh district in Virginia.
