Delegate Steve Landes Announces He's Running for Reelection

May 22, 2009

Delegate Steve Landes, a Republican, will be seeking another term as 25th District Representative in the House of Delegates.

The 25th District mostly covers the Shenandoah Valley in parts of Augusta and Rockingham counties, and Waynesboro, but his jurisdiction also stretches into parts of western Albemarle County.

Landes has been in the House of Delegates for 14 years. He says he'll work towards promoting economic growth in Virginia, especially in the rural areas.

In an announcement posted on his website, Landes said:

"Since I was first elected to the House of Delegates in 1995, it has been an honor to serve those who live here in the 25th House District. We have accomplished a great deal in the Commonwealth since then, but much remains to be done."

As part of his reelection bid, Landes will be making stops across the district Saturday, including a stop at King Family Vineyards in Crozet at 9:30 am.
