Candidate for Lieutenant Governor Campaigns in Albemarle County

September 22, 2009

Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate Bill Bolling made a campaign stop at Albemarle County’s Republican Party Campaign Headquarters Tuesday. While the Lt. Governor race is not getting as much attention as the Deeds-McDonnell race for Governor, Bolling and Judy Wagner (D) are criss-crossing the Commonwealth.

Bolling was first elected to the state's second highest position in 2005, and he is running for re-election against Wagner.

While the job of Lieutenant Governor does not come with much political power, Bolling has used it as a platform to emphasize health care and economic programs.

"I feel really good about how the campaign is going right now. I think our message is resonating with the people of Virginia. Bob McDonnell and I are trying to talk about the big issues facing our state," said Bolling.

Bolling also stopped by Nelson County Tuesday to meet with fruit growers.
