Some major players in politics, including the President, are stepping into Virginia's race for Governor. President Obama, former President Bill Clinton, and former Vice President, Al Gore, will join Creigh Deeds on the campaign trail, in the next two weeks.
This weekend, Senator John McCain was campaigning in Virginia for Bob McDonnell.
Deeds is trailing McDonnell, by almost nine points.
Many are wondering whether this effort be the boost his campaign needs.
Political Analyst David McQuilkin says, " It has the possibility I think of maybe helping Deeds make some inroads into the McDonnell lead but, at this point, it may be too little too late."
McQuilkin says John McCain might help Bob McDonnell increase his lead. He say McCain can help raise the Republican base, and help McDonnell sway independent voters.
