With Election Day only a week away, election officials are sending a message. They want you to be prepared as much as possible before casting your ballot.

Local election officials are using this week to make sure voters have all their questions answered, like where to vote on November 3rd and how to figure out if they're registered to vote.

With just seven days until Election Day, Albemarle County's Registrar is sending out a few last minute messages. Jake Washburne says most of the calls coming into his office are from voters who don't know if they're registered, and which precinct they're supposed to go to.

Washburne expects this election to have a much smaller turnout than the presidential election in 2008, but he still expects many voters.

"I think we'll probably see somewhere around there again, maybe around 50 percent," says Washburne, the Albemarle County Registrar. "We'd like to see more, and hopefully we will."
