An Albemarle County supervisor is among the delegates in Charlotte for this week's Democratic National Convention.
Chris Dumler is one of the 23 at-large delegates who has been chosen to represent the commonwealth at the DNC. He arrived in Charlotte on Sunday.
Dumler said there's still an enthusiasm about the Democratic ticket of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
"The point that the president has made over the last four years is progress is a slow and steady march forward, and sometimes it's particularly tough when you have an obstructionist Congress who's trying to throw as many monkey wrenches as possible into the works," Dumler said.
Dumler says he's looking forward to hearing the list of speakers, including former President Bill Clinton.
