The Christopher Dumler-era on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors is officially over, with the swearing of Jane Dittmar.
The Democrat won the Scottsville District seat in a special election. Dumler resigned in June, causing the board to pick Petie Craddock to serve as a temporary replacement until the election.
Two issues on the top of Dittmar's agenda are convenience centers in her district, and the possibility of a police shooting range.
"There is a discussion about a convenience center in Keane, and also the Town of Scottsville. Both have great interest to me and the people I represent now. Also the police, issue I'd like to start working on. We're entering a budget cycle so that's something I'll prioritize."
Dittmar will serve the remaining two-years of Dumler's term on the board.
