Governor Terry McAuliffe has created a task force to combat sexual assaults on Virginia's college campuses.

On Thursday, Gov. McAuliffe signed an executive order to create the Governor's Task Force on Combating Campus Sexual Violence.

The task force will be chaired by Attorney General Mark Herring, and will include campus administrators, advocates, law enforcement, higher education attorneys, and health professionals.

A statewide summit will be held in Richmond in October to bring together campus leaders to discuss ways to prevent and respond to sexual violence.
