Greene County GOP members chowed down and showed support Saturday afternoon at their 33rd-annual pig roast.
There may have been plenty of food, but politics was the main course. Party members say they are more energized now than ever, and they want to keep that momentum going.
The event also gave members the opportunity to meet some local candidates and hear from supporters. One of those who stopped by was Susan Allen, wife of U.S. Senate candidate George Allen.
"There have been so many supporters encouraging George and very excited about his possiblity to get to that Senate, break the log jam, vote on a balanced budget, make sure we are using our own energy and get that economic engine going again by creating jobs," Allen said.
Party members say they will continue to stay engaged, hoping to come out on top in November.
