Hurt Responds to Obama's Jobs Bill

Rep. Robert Hurt is responding to President Barack Obama's jobs bill that he was pushing last week.
The president promoted the bill at the University of Richmond Friday, calling for a $447 billion program of tax cuts and new spending to create jobs. While Hurt says he hasn't seen the bill yet, he added he's committed to going back to Washington and being faithful to his constituents in the 5th District.
"We have passed jobs bill after jobs bill after jobs bill. We've sent them to the United States Senate with no response," Hurt said. "I welcome the president's call for a renewed commitment to that. I think that it's incumbent on us to try to find those places we can agree and move forward quickly."
Hurt added that he's frustrated that Washington is not making more progress, especially when the House has sent the Senate several jobs-related bills.
