Hurt Wins Endorsement Of The Charlottesville Daily Progress

October 31, 2010

The Charlottesville Daily Progress has endorsed Senator Robert Hurt. In an official statement, the paper says its decision rests on principles.

The paper article is written in respect for Congressman Tom Perriello. It says, "He [Perriello] is one of the hardest-working members of the House. But he has been working hard to help lead the nation in the wrong direction."

The article sites the health care law and financial reform as two steps in the wrong direction.

The paper says it disagrees with part of Hurt's platform but the article concludes saying, "However, the only chance we have to enact the other needed reforms is by electing Mr. Hurt and members of his party. Everyone who voted for change is going to have to hold the new legislators accountable. And if they don’t live up to their promises, then promptly vote them out."
