John Douglass, (D) 5th District Candidate, is trying to rally for support for his Congressional bid.
Douglass held a panel discussion of his "Help Virginia Families Plan." More than 70 people attended the event at C'ville Coffee Monday night.
Douglass went through his plan, along with a panel of local people, then opened up for questions,
He's been traveling around the district to get input on his plan and shape it.
"I think people want to participate in the process, I think they want to hear good ideas. I think people want to be able to tell how they feel about things. And this is a great example of bedrock democracy," said Douglass.
Douglass will continue these panel discussions around the district to talk about and gather input for his plan, then switch to a Town Hall format for more questions from people in September.
