Local Candidate Shares Plan for Growth, Development

October 12, 2011

Christopher Dumler (D) spoke about his plan on economic development and growing commercial and residential tax bases, Wednesday.

Dumler is running for the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors in the Scottsville district. He said he would like to work on the infrastructure in Albemarle County. He also plans to reduce regulations that harm rural economic sustainability.

"In the rural area, they are killing jobs. And when you are killing jobs in the rural area, someone's retirement plan, like I said, is going to be selling off their farm to a developer," said Dumler, Scottsville District Candidate.

Dumler is running against Republican James Norwood for the Scottsville district seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. The seat is currently held by Lindsay Dorrier. Dorrier is not seeking re-election.

The election will be held November 8.
