Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling announces the formation the Virginia Mainstream Project (VMP), a political action committee.
Bolling believes there is a growing need for Republicans to recruit and elect what he calls, “mainstream, conservative candidates” to state and local offices.
The committee will focus on supporting candidates for the upcoming House of Delegates race later this year and the State Senate in 2015.
Bolling wants the VMP to promote compromise and bipartisan cooperation while working on issues such as economic development, health care, transportation and education reform.
