A new poll shows the Democrats have an early edge in the 2013 governor's race.
The Public Policy Polling report shows Democrat Terry McAuliffe with a five-point lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli 46 percent to 41 percent.
When former Republican candidate Bill Bolling is thrown in the mix as an independent, he gets 15 percent of the vote, and McAuliffe's lead grows to eight points.
