Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell continued to dodge questions Sunday over the possibility of becoming Mitt Romney's running mate.
McDonnell appeared on CBS' Face the Nation Sunday morning. He's thought to be on Romney's short list for vice presidential candidates.
When host Bob Schieffer asked McDonnell if he was being vetted for the job, McDonnell responded it's not for him to say.
"You know, I'm not talking about it," McDonnell said. "That's up to Mitt Romney. He's going to make that announcement soon. But I'll tell you what. Vice presidents don't win elections. Presidents and their candidates and their vision do."
McDonnell said in the interview he promotes Romney's vision for the middle class regarding jobs, deficit reduction, small business promotion and energy as the way to go.
