Taneia Dowell officially announces her candidacy for Charlottesville Commissioner of Revenue.
Dowell made the announcement at City Hall on Thursday.
Currently, she is the Executive Manager of the 10th Street Bed And Breakfast and says her experience with small business makes her a good candidate.
"Being a former small business owner and running several small businesses in the city, I can completely empathize and understand the importance of when a new business member or current business member contacts the office to get information or to get a license."
Dowell also says, if elected she plans to continue the open-door policy of those before her.
