In the race for governor, a new poll shows Democrat Terry McAuliffe with a comfortable lead.
The poll from Politico.com shows McAuliffe with 44 percent support from likely voters, while Republican Ken Cuccinelli receives 35 percent.
Libertarian Robert Sarvis earns 12 percent, and eight percent say they are undecided.
This is the first poll to be done after the government shutdown.
