Barack Obama has won reelection as president.
Obama has won 307 electoral votes in 26 states and the District of Columbia. He is leading in 1 state for a total of 29 more electoral votes.
Romney has won 216 electoral votes in 24 states. He is not currently leading in any state.
Independent and other party candidates has not won any state and currently not leading in any state.
In the 435 U.S. House races, the Republicans have won 232 seats and are leading in the races for 3 seats. The Democrats have won 187 seats and are leading in the races for 13 seats. Independent and other party candidates have won or are leading for 0 seats. The Republicans have retained control of the U.S. House and if trends continue will lose 7 seats.
In the 33 U.S. Senate races, the Republicans have won 8 seats and are leading in the races for 0 seats. The Democrats have won 21 seats and are leading in the races for 2 seats. Independent and other party candidates have won or are leading for 2 seats.
