A new radio ad that targets Fifth District Congressman Robert Hurt will begin playing on local stations Monday evening.
The ad is one of many purchased by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) aimed at what the group considers to be vulnerable Republican lawmakers.
Here is the text of the ad:
Did you know Congressman Robert Hurt has a plan to cut education and research by 40% that will cost hundreds of thousands of jobs and make America less competitive? Tell Hurt to choose jobs.
In a response, Hurt Campaign strategist Chris LaCivita called the ad "no surprise" and "spin and scare tactics".
