The Jamie Radtke for Senate campaign Thursday announced it raised $92,153 in the months of April, May and June. This represents a significant increase in receipts from Q1 2011, and brings the total raised to nearly $250,000 for the campaign.
The Radtke campaign says all funds reported are primary election funds from individuals as opposed to general election contributions from political action committees or special interest groups.
The campaign enters the third quarter of this electoral off-year with almost $46,000 cash on hand.
"We are pleased with the direction our fundraising efforts are going, and we are confident we will continue to see momentum throughout the rest of the year," said campaign manager Dave Johnson.
Johnson noted that the campaign had been engaged primarily in "organic" fundraising efforts through mid-May, until it contracted with the firm of Concentric Direct and brought on an experienced finance director. As a result, June was the most successful fundraising month the campaign has had in 2011.
Republican candidate George Allen reported $1.1 million raised from April to June. Democratic candidate Tim Kaine reported $2.25 million raised over the same time frame.
