Fifth District Congressman Robert Hurt (R) could be facing another challenger in his bid for re-election this November.
Retired Air Force Brigadier General John Douglass announced last May that he was challenging incumbent Frank Wolf (R) in Tenth District, which includes the Fairfax County area. However, due to proposed redistricting, he could fall in the Fifth District.
The Democrat is expected to make an official announcement in early March after redistricting is finalized.
And Douglass is not the only person interested in challenging Congressman Hurt. Last month retired military officer Peyton Williams, Jr. announced he was also seeking the Democratic nomination in the Fifth District.
