Ken Boyd is claiming that a group opposing the Western Bypass either has to say who is behind it or stop airing ads backing candidates for county supervisor.
The group called the Charlottesville bypass coalition has been airing ads on television, radio, and online. Boyd says he's tried to find out who is behind the group, and who is funding it.
He says if they are advocating for the election of a specific candidate, they must register with the state and disclose who is funding the ads.
The group details each candidates stand on the bypass on their website.
Randy Salzman says he is a contributor to the website and he says the Charlottesville bypass coalition has been completely transparent.
