Albemarle County Board of Supervisors Candidate Christoper Dumler unveiled his transportation plan Monday at Piedmont Virginia Community College.
If elected, his goal is to prioritize transportation needs, to promote alternative means of transportation such as bus routes and car pools and to protect taxpayer investments.
"It starts with identifying the need and with talking to people," said Dumler, who is running for the Scottsville District seat. "A lot of these projects aren't even in the tip because, whether it's a lack of responsiveness by VDOT or whatever the issue, we need to work to cut through the red tape by partnering with the agencies, partnering with VDOT, partnering with state and federal policy makers."
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors elections will take place on Nov. 8.
