Delegate David Toscano (D-57th) has announced that he will be seeking re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2011.
In the YouTube announcement, Toscano said: "I've had the great privilege of representing the people of the 57th District in the Virginia House of Delegates for the last six years. I'm going to ask for the opportunity to serve you again for another two years."
The campaign will kickoff on Saturday, May 1 with a fish fry at Tonsler Park from 3pm to 5pm.
If re-elected, this will be Toscano's third term in the Virginia House. He was originally elected to serve in 2005, replacing Mitchell Van Yahres.
Toscano was elected to Charlottesville City Council in 1990 and then again in 1994 and 1998. He served as Mayor of Charlottesville from 1994-1996.
More information can be found on Del. Toscano's website.
