Two of Virginia's most popular politicians are gaining buzz as candidates in the 2016 presidential election.
A new poll found Senator Mark Warner and Governor Bob McDonnell both fare well as potential presidential primary match-ups.
McDonnell comes in second among Republicans, while New Jersey Governor Chris Christie takes the top spot. Paul Ryan and Rand Paul tied for third place with participants in the poll
Democrats in the poll favored former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as their first pick, giving Warner second place, and Biden in third.
The poll also found that Warner would win by doubt-digits over McDonnell if a Senate election was held today.
