Locally, both the Barack Obama and Mitt Romney campaigns are hard at work and will continue to be for the next 28 days.
That's welcome news for some, but not so good for others, as voter fatigue is beginning to set in.
"We're getting in touch with people who are kind of on the fence with what they want to do with the election, if they want to vote, who they're going to vote for," said Blake Hogston, a volunteer with the Romney campaign.
"[We have] a lot of really great supporters in Charlottesville and people who are excited that we're out on the ground talking to folks," said Sydney Shivers, a volunteer for the Obama campaign.
Both victory offices were filled with volunteers Tuesday night who were making phone calls to potential voters. The volunteers say the momentum in the final 28 days until Election Day on Nov. 6 isn't slowing down.
"People are thrilled to be hearing from us, thanking us for our work, really revved up to go and vote," Shivers said.
"It's really neat to share the enthusiasm with people, regardless of who they're voting for," Hogston said.
As the phone calls and campaign ads continue for the next four weeks, some voters say they're ready for it all to end.
"I'm ready for results," said Charlottesville resident Craig Kelley. "I get to see so many of these election ads that are on TV."
"What are the good, neutral sources that are really looking into the issues?" said David Dehaven, an undecided voter from Loudon County.
One of the things both campaigns hammered down to those they called Tuesday night was the voter deadline, which is Monday, Oct. 15. Both campaigns say they want to see as many people out at the polls as possible.
