Greenbrier Elementary Given 3yrs of Accreditation for High Test Scores

June 18, 2013

A Charlottesville elementary school is one of just eight across the Commonwealth being recognized for its high performance on the Standards Of Learning (SOL) tests.

Greenbrier Elementary School will receive a three-year waiver from annual state accreditation because its students achieved a pass rate of 95-percent or higher on their SOL tests during 2010-2011, and 2011-2012 school years.

The school will remain fully accredited through the 2015-2016 school year.

Five of the other seven schools are in Fairfax County, and two are in Virginia Beach.
